Archive News *21/1/07 Manchester B promoted to the top division of the womens National League after the playoffs this weekend. Triumphant Manchester B capped a superb season with promotion to the top flight of the Womens National League this weekend. Despite winning the second division outright, new League rules meant that they still had to gain promotion via a play off. This they did winning two from three of their play off games to gain promotion alongside league runners up Harrogate. Haywards Heath are relegated to div 2 while former champions Coventry still have a chance to stay up as the National league are yet to decide if the number of teams in the top flight will increase to 9 for the coming season. *15/1/07 Manchester B win National League division 2 title An exceptional season for the Bs was capped by an unbeaten 14 wins from 14 games in division 2 of the national league. See womens page for full story. *14/1/07 Womens LEN trophy results Manchester's women recorded three defeats in the second round of the LEN trophy. Results on Womens page *8/1/07 Manchester boys excel in PAN PACS Two Manchester players: Brett Perkins and Richard Lawlor return with silver as GB boys gain second in the invitational PAN PACs tournament in Canada. *8/1/07 Senior women finish 3rd in National League The womens A team finished their national league campaign this weekend with a loss to Sheffield and a win against penguin to finish 3rd in the National league. *18/12/06 Late arrival means Manchester Ladies lose points Traffic problems mean Manchester A arrived late for their National league game on Saturday against penguin resulting in an automatic 5:0 win for Penguin. Dramatically they then managed a 9-6 win against Liverpool. *14/12/06 M.G.S win schools tournament Manchester Grammar School (A) win this terms schools tournament for year 7 and 8 at MAC with 4 wins from 4.
